Started flying at the age of 15 through ROC in Ukiah CA.Went to work for Sis-Q Flying Service at 20 flying the O-2 "air-co" in Santa Rosa then Ukiah. Then typed in the S-2A at the age of 23 and based in Santa Rosa then Ukiah.
Flew a season as copilot for SLAFCO in the Super PBY (T-49) in Tenn. in 1979
I also spent 3 summers as a seasonal fire fighter in the Mendocino Ranger Unit.
